You’re never required to share your session, we value your privacy above all else!

Miss Blue Eyes, is one of our favorite recent sessions. Curvy, with stunning features, and some seriously fabulous hair - what's not to love? She rocked her red lips giving us total classic beauty realness. We loved having her in our studio, she fit right in with our sometimes kooky sense of humor. We think her photos turned out stunning, and were so happy she let us share them!

Miss L. came to us to do a boudoir session for her upcoming nuptials. She ended up ordering one of our Big Black Books, which we're told was very well received by her lucky groom. Sometimes the best gift to give can be yourself! Miss L. graciously allowed us to share a few of her favorite photos with you, and we're so glad she did. We absolutely love her high waisted garter panty. Here at Roar Boudoir we're constantly trying to dispel the myth that a high waisted panty is a "Granny Panty". When you find something high waisted that fits you properly, it can do wonderful things for you body! Case in point, when Miss L. put her black set on, our jaws dropped. Miss L. is beautiful no matter what she wears, but that lingerie set accented her awesome curves amazingly well. Miss L. loved her photos, and we're so glad she chose to work with Roar Boudoir!
H, stands for Harley Quinn in case you're wondering. We don't get to shoot too many costumes, so I was really excited when she pulled out this awesome Harley Quinn get-up! We love Halloween here at Roar Boudoir, so this definitely got us into the holiday spirit. Mrs. H's shoot was a total blast! We use pseudonyms when we post client's photos online, often using something memorable from their session as the last initial of their fake name. B, stands for Bud Light. Miss. B isn't a champagne kind of girl, and that's awesome! We love all the little differences that make us all unique. We are more than happy to accommodate you at your shoot with your favorite beverage of choice. We totally did serve her an ice-cold bud light in a champagne flute. Miss B. was so much fun to shoot. She even sent us a quick email about what her significant other thought of her portrait session:
" You should have seen his face when he saw them! Omg he absolutely loved them! Thank you guys so much! "

Miss P. came into our studio for her photo viewing, opened up the envelope and said,
"Who is this? Are you sure these are my photos?" We reassured her that yes, indeed these were her photos.
"Oh. I'm beautiful."
Cue the sound of our hearts melting! It's so amazing what seeing yourself through someone else's lens can do for your self esteem. We knew Miss P. was already beautiful, and to be able to show her that - Well it's why we do what we do! She's letting us show you guys too! Look at how amazing she looks!
Miss K. was such a joy to work with! She was excited about her shoot through the entire process, and was so fun to shoot. Miss K. ordered one of our little black books to give to her husband. He was blown away by the photos. Here's what she told us:

We often get clients who are giving their boudoir photography to someone special as gift. Talk about the gift for the person who already has everything! While we love helping our clients pick products for that special someone we'd like to be quite clear that the session is for you.
The entire Roar Boudoir experience is geared to making you, our model, feel empowered and pampered. You are stunning, and we want to help you see that! If you choose to share your images with anyone else, that's just a bonus.
Roar Boudoir takes time to get to know our clients. We meet with you in person before your shoot to go over any concerns or questions you might have. We understand that it can be a little nerve wracking before your shoot, and we want to do anything we can to make your more comfortable. We get to know everything from your favorite part of your body, to your favorite cocktail, to what kind of music really makes you feel like a million bucks. Each session is catered to you!

"Will you share my photos online?"
That has to be the number one question asked by all our clients. The answer is simple, only if you want us to. When you decide to shoot with Roar Boudoir we have a few options you can check off on your contract, they are as follows:

I will allow Roar Boudoir to showcase my images online.
I will allow Roar Boudoir to showcase my images online as long as my identity is kept anonymous and my face is at least partially obscured.
You simply check which option you'd like, and we leave it at that. Many of our clients keep their photos private- We are totally fine with that! We enjoy the Roar Boudoir experience as much as our clients, and love seeing their faces when we deliver their images to them. It is in no way required that we share them with anyone but the model of the photograph.
We often have clients who initially check private on their contracts change their minds after they see their finished photos. "You have to share these online! I look so hot!" has been said by more than one client after their viewings. At that point we'd add an amendment to your contract. While such an in depth contract may seem like overkill to some, we want to be very clear with our clients so they know explicitly how we will share their images if they desire us to.
When you decide to let us share your images, you pick which of your finished images we are able to share at your viewing session. Everything is always in your hands!
A new and popular option we now have is to share your images anonymously. We give you a snazzy fake name and only share photos in which your face is obscured. A lot of clients have love this middle ground option, and we love making our clients happy!
Roar Boudoir is all about putting power and confidence in the hands of our clients. We won't share any photos from your session ever unless you allow us to, and we've got it in writing. Making you happy, and protecting your privacy is our number one concern!
So you've scheduled a boudoir shoot! How exciting! You've got everything planned and are ready for your shoot when suddenly you realize- You have tan lines. We deal with this a lot, especially in the summer. We are able to minimize a lot of tan lines in our editing process. Although It's easier and looks more natural to deal with it before your shoot. Tan line happen to the best of us, even Paige who religiously wears SPF 55 everyday. We've got a few tips on what to do about them.
Tan lines aren't always an issue! The client above had tan lines in the shoulder area, and we still think the image is beautiful!
This may seem counterproductive, but sometime's it's a good idea just to embrace your body. A lot of people find tan lines super sexy. We here to cater to what you think the best version of you looks like! If you love your tan lines, we love your tan lines! Our post production techniques often have the benefit of softening the edge of tan lines in your finished photos.
Most of our clients schedule their boudoir shoot two months out. That's plenty of time to repair and diminish any sunburn or tan you've got. Wear SPF daily, exfoliate, and limit your sun exposure. If you're concerned about tan lines, best not to schedule your beach vacation the week before your shoot. That is unless it's a nude beach and you can get bronze, sans lines. If you're worried about not being tan enough for your shoot, let me reassure you that's never an issue. You will look amazing on your shoot day no matter the shade of your skin!
So despite all your best efforts you somehow managed to get tan lines before your shoot. It's alright! If you've got some time there's nothing a little exfoliating, moisturizing, and gradual self tanner can't help. Focus your exfoliate near the edges of you tan line. Gradually build the self tanner color over a couple of days. Don't forget to wash your hands thoroughly after application.
When all else fails, pick outfits for your boudoir shoot that will minimize or completely hide your tan lines. If your bathing suit is a bandeau top, try a bandeau style bra. Work one of our feather boas or fur stoles to hide your problem area. There are so many creative draping techniques we can use!
Sometimes you've just gotta let a pro handle it. Getting a spray tanner to even out your tan lines is a wonderful option. Two studios comes highly recommended to us! Consult with them on the best time and methods on dealing with your tan lines. Let them know that Roar Boudoir recommended you!

Miss D. was our first official shoot in one of our two new studio spaces. We've been renovating both studios these past few months and finally have one finished and ready for shooting! Roar Boudoir Studio 201 is our modern and bright space. It's super versatile and has an awesome selection of furniture and props to work with.
We were both super excited to actually get into our new space and have complete control over our shoots. It's a total breath of fresh air in comparison to on location shooting (which we still love as well!). There's so many new goodies that come along with it. All different kinds of lighting, backdrops, props and poses. What a great time to flex some creative muscles!
Miss D. was our very first shoot in Studio 201. She was such a joy to photograph and was open to our direction which made the shoot a breeze. We even used a very minimal wardrobe selection. You don't need any fancy lingerie to do boudoir! Destiny came in with a simple black bra and panties, and a white button up shirt. Her images came out so beautifully, and we're so proud to share them. Thank you so much Destiny for allowing us to share these wonderful shots! You're Beautiful!
Amazing right? Studio 201 has been a complete success so far, and we can't wait to share what's going on at Studio 300 once that's done this august as well! Where Studio 201 is modern and bright, Studio 300 will be dark, moody, and timeless. So excited for you to watch us grow!
You may recognize Becca. She was one of our first models, frequent shooting assistant, and all around babe! We did a quick home session for her recently and thought they would be lovely to share! In home sessions are available on some of our packages. They can be a great option for some people, but aren't ideal in all scenarios. Boudoir has gotten a something of a popularity boost this past year. We know it can be sometimes difficult to figure out who to hire when it comes to your boudoir photography session. So we decided to do a post on what makes us different, to help you find your perfect photographer.
Paige and Anna shoot every session together. While it's an unorthodox way of shooting- we love it! Our shooting and editing styles are different, you'll end up with more options at the end of your shoot. Creativity is fiercely personal, and even when shooting the exact same subject we end up with such different results! The side by side shots below are the same set and client, taken seconds apart!
You're getting double the photographer, viewpoints, and creativity for your money!
Boudoir demands a certain level of respect for privacy. We always make that our number one concern, and our studio supports that. Other photographers might only offer hotel, in home, or session in a rented space from another photographer. We occasionally love getting out of the studio as well, new space can bring new inspiration. We enjoy having shared rental spaces as one option, not our only one.
We offer a dedicated studio space to shoot, deliver images, and have client gatherings in! We are the only tenants of our studio space, and plan on keeping it that way. You'll never have someone showing up to your sessions due to scheduling complications.
Having a studio of our own also means we're able to curate what kinds of props, furniture, backdrops, and lighting we want in our sessions. We own everything we shoot with in our studio from our lights to our chaise lounges. More control in environment will lead to more beautiful photos for you!
After your shoot is complete we can deliver your images in studio, keeping your finished product for your eyes only. We're also available to meet you at our studio to discuss any concerns you might have in person. In fact, we host an open house on the last Friday of most months. Some photographers have little to no contact with clients before their boudoir shoots. Some even charge for pre-shoot consultations. While that might work for them, it's not what we do. Boudoir is an, excuse my pun, very revealing albeit amazing experience. We want to know you, your story, and how boudoir is going to help you celebrate how wonderful your body is! We take time before our shoots to meet with almost all our clients in person or via Skype where distance is an issue. We talk about everything you'll need to know for your session, there are no surprises. We'll even be more than happy to help you find the best wardrobe for your shoot! Having a connection with your photographers is important. If you're anxious or stressed during your shoot, it might read that way in the photo. We want to do everything we can to make sure you are comfortable and enjoy your session.
Because we shoot with two photographers, you get double the support, especially during your session. Clients have told us many times that shooting with us feels as if their just hanging out with old friends. We love our clients, and are so happy we make them feel comfortable!
Anna and Paige also deliver and design all your finished images and products. Everything is edited in house. Your photos stay with us from the shoot until we deliver them to you! We love giving our clients their finished photos in our studio. Being able to be present when people see how beautiful they are, sometimes for the first time, is a powerful experience. It's one of the biggest reasons we started Roar.
As women we understand that it can be very threatening to be so exposed and having a male present- whether that is your photographer or a member of the support staff. While this isn't an issue for everyone, and certainly not meant to dismiss the merits of any other male photographer in our industry, it's still important for some of our clients. Seeing your body as beautiful, powerful and sexy is an amazing healing tool. We want you to feel safe, loved, and beautiful. This is one reason we are fully staffed only by women. While this isn't an issue for all our clients, we want to protect the ones whom it is an issue for. Our space is safe for any client, no matter their gender or sexual orientation. If you have any concerns about past experiences influencing your session please let us know.
We believe with every fiber of our being that everyone's bodies are beautiful. From super models, to the curviest forms, to people with disabilities and everywhere in between; you are perfect as you are. Everyone has issues with their bodies, don't let that stop you from seeing how beautiful it is as a whole. Appreciate everything it does for you, celebrate your battle scars and stretch marks! Every little "flaw" is part of you, and makes you who you are. Roar boudoir wants to bring out a beautiful version of you!
Being body positive is also the reason we don't do "before and after" photos. There is nothing inherently "better" about our photos than the everyday you. All of you is beautiful, and sometimes it's nice to see a different facet. We want the Roar Boudoir experience to take center stage. The process, the building of body confidence, and the fun is what's most important to us!
We don't discriminate, period. Not every client is our client, and that's okay. While we might not be the photographer for you for a myriad of other reasons, the color of your skin, your gender, or your sexual orientation won't be one of them. We celebrate everyone, no matter the body they come in!

Not unless you want us to! Our website is filled with beautiful boudoir photos of people who have given us their explicit consent to post them online.When we meet with clients for our initial consultation we go over our contract. There’s a few options on the amount of sharing online you’d like to allow us to do with your photos. One option is to keep them completely private. We’re okay with that! For every shoot we post online, there are several which stay offline. Your privacy is our number one concern. We also have many clients who change their minds after we deliver photos and ask us to PLEASE post them online, after originally asking us to keep them private. Either way it’s in your hands. Whatever you're comfortable with is what we’ll do!
I need to lose weight before I book my shoot.
You are beautiful right now, even if you don’t see it yet. A big part of the job of a professional photographer is understanding how to pose the human form. We will make whatever size body you’re rocking look amazing! When you look good, it makes us look good. We’ll be able to minimize your not so favorite features and accentuate your stunning ones. Soft curves can make for some ethereal looking photos! We’ll pose you right down to your pinky toes, so take a deep breath and let the professionals make you look your best!
I can’t afford it.
That might not be true. While I understand everyone’s budgets are vastly different, we can offer you some options. We only require the retainer down to reserve your spot. It’s usually 25% of your total package price. We also offer payment plans and other budget friendly options. Contact us now to see how we can help you get the photo-shoot of your dreams!
I don’t own enough/any lingerie.
You don’t need to! While lingerie is fun, is not something you need. We’ve had clients come to the studio without anything, and make them look beautiful wrapped up a sheet. We also offer some pieces and accessories for use. If you’re interested in borrowing something, we ask you bring three things, a pair of black, nude, and white underwear. We can match you up with something great if you’ve got those basics down! If you’re looking for guidance, were more than happy to go shopping with you as part of your initial consultation. We love to get clients properly fitted for bras. A proper fit ensures that your breasts are supported, and in effect, makes the rest of your body look great!
I don’t have anyone I would give my photos to.
Yes you do! Boudoir is an amazing gift to give yourself. While a lot of our clients do boudoir as way to celebrate a wedding or anniversary, even more do it just for themselves. There’s no bigger confidence boost than seeing yourself as the beautiful person you are. There’s nothing like being pampered for the day and having the photos to prove it! Celebrate how strong, beautiful, loving, patient, or bad ass you are now. Don’t wait on someone else.
