It’s the end of an era y’all. I moved out of the cozy pleasant ridge studio into a stunning, but very different space in the really lovely neighborhood of Mt. Healthy. It has so many perks over the old space, but the warm little room where I made so many friends will always be in my heart. I’ll be sharing more about the new studio soon, but I wanted to reminisce on one of the last sessions I’m able to share from that space.

For those of you who didn’t know- It was 425 square feet in total. A lot of my clients were shocked at the art we were able to create in that space. Honestly it involved a ton of shuffling around to get as much variety as I did in every shoot. Our new studio is more than 4xs that size- so I have so much more room to create. I still love it, and now that it’s gone (spoiler alert, it’s actually rented out to an amazing acrobat friend teaching aerial arts now!) the photos feel like a time capsule.

This babe came in and blew me out of the water- she also wore some of my favorite pieces from the studio wardrobe. How previous is that heart cut out?

We never share your images unless you want us to! We have several options on the level of sharing you’d like to do from keeping everything private, to sharing images where your face is cropped, to just outright sharing. Whatever you pick is totally cool with us! This babe wanted to share her images anonymously.

I love it when my stunning clients let me share there images anonymously. A little mystery is seriously sexy.

This beautiful woman came in to the studio not long after giving birth to her little bundle of joy. No matter what body you have, childbirth can be a total body change and is hard for a lot of women to deal with. We want you to know that we’re here to help you on the path to loving yourself again. Miss F came in to create an absolutely gorgeous gift for her husband. I love how she rocked jewel tones, they are universally flattering to all our clients! Miss S. came to us wanting a gift to her partner, that would also double as a gift to herself. She was so sweet in the studio! We were so happy to get be able to get so many amazing images. She even added on a milkbath session to her shoot, which she totally rocked! I’m sure we’ll see Ms. S in studio again soon.

We love helping brides give their grooms the ultimate grooms gift. What can be better than giving him something you already know he wants? This green eyed beauty came into the studio looking for exactly that. She absolutely rocked her session, even though she said the very idea of this session was outside of her comfort zone. We were there to guide her every step of the way- from how to hold her mouth in the right shape to where to point her toes. You do not need to consider yourself sexy to be able to do a boudoir session! You'll totally feel that way after we reveal your images to you though. We will help you find your best lighting, angles and poses. Even the most nervous of clients tell us that our shoots feel like they're just hanging out with a bunch of girlfriends. We promise to make it fun! 

This year we set the goal of doing at least one traveling shoot. I'm very pleased to say that we had a blast in Durham, NC recently. Although we don't often stray from our studio, it was refreshing to shoot in a completely new space. We meet some lovely local ladies who came in for shoots and got to experience a whole new city. We had the wonderful Miss M. in the studio this past weekend. She totally rocked her session! We loved her dramatic hair and makeup that Becci created for her. It totally helped her feel like a goddess, and when you feel good it translates into your photos. We often get clients that are stressed out about what to bring to a shoot. Never fear! Not only do we give you our comprehensive lingerie guide when you book, we also have an expansive wardrobe with so many different sizes and styles you're welcome to borrow when you shoot! Everything including heels, garter belts, bodysuits, jewelry and so much more.

We also encourage our clients to think a little outside the box in what they bring to their session. This beautiful, anonymous, client brought a sheer shirt and her partner's button down. We worked with this client to find ways to make the button down sexy, which wasn't hard! We kept this set more minimal and let the focus be our client's awesome smile and totally stunning bod. Sometimes it's nice to let the photos speak for themselves. We're loving the way our new backdrop gives us kind of a classic oil painting look. It doesn't hurt that Miss B is an absolute stunner! LENA-LENA X ROAR BOUDOIR

We love working with independent, and woman-owned companies. When reached out to Lena-Lena Lingerie because they represented to us a thoroughly modern kind of sexy. We loved the shapes, the cut outs, the sheer fabric. We were over the moon when Lena wanted to work with us.  So we enlisted one of our favorite previous Roar Clients to model some of these great pieces! We love it when clients bring us unique pieces. We plan on adding to our Roar Wardrobe with lots of independent brands, including Lena-Lena Lingerie! 

Miss L. is one beautiful bad ass babe! We were so happy to have in her in Roar Studios this past weekend. She'd just come off of an MMA fight the day before, how cool is that? Our clients are all so talented, Miss L. being no expection. We love the finished images for her shoot, and are so flattered she's allowing us to share them with you! 

Awesome ladies! Professional, creative. They made me feel so comfortable! The studio and lingerie are beautiful, so many options. And the stylist Destiny is great too! I loved everything about it!

Miss Blue Eyes, is one of our favorite recent sessions. Curvy, with stunning features, and some seriously fabulous hair - what's not to love? She rocked her red lips giving us total classic beauty realness. We loved having her in our studio, she fit right in with our sometimes kooky sense of humor. We think her photos turned out stunning, and were so happy she let us share them!

Miss L. came to us to do a boudoir session for her upcoming nuptials. She ended up ordering one of our Big Black Books, which we're told was very well received by her lucky groom. Sometimes the best gift to give can be yourself! Miss L. graciously allowed us to share a few of her favorite photos with you, and we're so glad she did. We absolutely love her high waisted garter panty. Here at Roar Boudoir we're constantly trying to dispel the myth that a high waisted panty is a "Granny Panty". When you find something high waisted that fits you properly, it can do wonderful things for you body! Case in point, when Miss L. put her black set on, our jaws dropped. Miss L. is beautiful no matter what she wears, but that lingerie set accented her awesome curves amazingly well. Miss L. loved her photos, and we're so glad she chose to work with Roar Boudoir! 

Miss P. came into our studio for her photo viewing, opened up the envelope and said,

"Who is this? Are you sure these are my photos?" We reassured her that yes, indeed these were her photos.

"Oh. I'm beautiful." 

Cue the sound of our hearts melting! It's so amazing what seeing yourself through someone else's lens can do for your self esteem. We knew Miss P. was already beautiful, and to be able to show her that - Well it's why we do what we do! She's letting us show you guys too! Look at how amazing she looks!
